Market Now: Auto stocks bullish; M&M, Bosch up 3%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra (up 3.35 per cent), Bosch (up 3.01 per cent), Tata Motors (up 2.24 per cent), Tata Motors (up 2.10 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 1.93 per cent) and Eicher Motors (up 0.95 per cent) were trading up in Monday's afternoon trade.

The Nifty Auto was trading 1.09 per cent up at 11,200 around 02:19 pm (IST). Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 65.20 points at 10233, while BSE Sensex was up 207 points at 32,640.

However, some auto stocks such as Amara Raja Batteries (down 1.02 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 0.49 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.40 per cent) were losing in trade.

Among the 51 stocks in Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Idea Cellular, NHPC, Bharti Airtel, RIL, Hindalco, ICICI Bank, SBI, Vedanta, ITC, Bharti Infratel, Tata Motors and Axis Bank were among most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange on Monday.

Shares of KSS Ltd, Beta Drugs, Bohra Industries, TV Vision, Sri Adhikari, Khaitan Elect, SAB Events & Governance Now Media, Stampede Cap, Infomedia Press, Indian Card Clo, Guj NRE Coke, Krishana Phoschem hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.

On the NSE, 795 stocks were advancing, compared with 861 stocks declining and 325 stocks remaining unchanged.
