Judwaa 2 box office collection: Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer collects Rs 203.33 crore worldwide

Judwaa 2 box office collection: Varun Dhawan's comedy film is proving to be one of the most successful films of 2017. Judwaa 2 is unstoppable at the box office and is benefiting from the lack of strong competition at the box office so far, despite new releases.

Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2 has ended the drought period at the box office and is continuing to perform even after three weeks since its release. In the times when a film fails to stand strong after the first weekend, Varun’s comedy is creating records. In fact, it is all set to become the second highest grosser of the year after Baahubali 2. The film is all set to break Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees’ domestic lifetime collection record, which stands at Rs 137.51 crores. This David Dhawan directorial has won over the overseas market too. The film, which released on September 29, has minted over Rs 200 crores at the international box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh declared the film a super-hit. He wrote, “#Judwaa2 continues its DREAM RUN… [Week 3] Fri 1.72 cr, Sat 2.65 cr. Total: ₹ 130.21 cr. India biz. SUPERHIT.” In another tweet, he mentioned Judwaa 2’s overseas box office collections. He wrote, “#Judwaa2 crosses ₹ 200 cr Worldwide [India + Overseas theatrical biz]… Note: GROSS BOC… Total GROSS *Worldwide* biz: ₹ 203.33 cr.”

Varun, who is ecstatic about his film’s performance, took to his Instagram profile and wrote, “Week 3 and still running in theaters. Something that has become so rare in today’s day and age #judwaa2 watch doobara because it’s important to laugh.”

The film also starred Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles.

Taapsee, who won praise for her glamourous avatar in the film, thanked the audience for accepting her as Samaira. She wrote, “Thank you guys for the overwhelming response to #Judwaa2. Keep the love pouring in!”

At present, while Varun has started his next with Shoojit Sircar titled October, Taapsee is sailing on two boats. She will be seen in upcoming film Mulk and also will be playing a hockey player in a love story directed by Shaad Ali.
