Samajwadi Chatra Sabha sweeps AUSU polls, ABVP bags general secretary post

ALLAHABAD: Samajwadi Chatra Sabha, student wing of Samajwadi Party, won four out of five posts in the Allahabad University student union election, results of which was declared late on Saturday night.
Samajwadi Chatra Sabha candidate for the post of president, Awanish Kumar Yadav, defeated an independent candidate, Mrityunjay Rao Parmar, by a margin of 552 votes. The candidate fielded by ABVP, Priyanka Singh, bagged third position with 1588 votes.
Samajwadi Chatra Sabha also won the post of vice president wherein their candidate, Chandrashekhar Choudhary, defeated the ABVP rival, Shivam, by the margin of 72 votes.
Other posts won by Samajwadi Chatra Sabha were that of joint secretary, Bharat Singh, who defeated Adarsh Shukla by margin of 630 votes and culture secretary, Avdhesh Kumar Patel, fielded by the panel of Samajwadi Chatra Sabha, was declared winner. He defeated ABVP candidate Abhishek kumar Awasthi by a margin of 912 votes.
The only win that the ABVP manged is the post of general secretary, Nirbhay Kumar Dwivedi, who defeated Arpit Singh by a margin of 61 votes. Nirbhay manage to get 2132 votes.
