Moneylender  gunned down by 2 bikers

BENGALURU: Two motorcycle-borne men opened fire at a money lender, killing him instantly, allegedly over a financial dispute. The incident took place at Doddabelavangala in Doddaballapur on Friday evening.

The victim was also riding a two-wheeler. The deceased is Muddukrishna, a resident of Chikkabelavangala. He was a farmer and also lent money to people. A senior police officer said the incident took place around 6.30pm when Muddukrishna was leaving his farmhouse on his two-wheeler. Two people followed him on a motorcycle.

A passersby, who found the victim lying in a pool of blood rushed him to the hospital. The doctors found a bullet injury and alerted the police. Based on preliminary investigations, police found that there were no more than two people were involved. Financial dispute could be reason for the murder and police took statements from Muddukrishna’s wife and son.
