Traffic curbs today for marathon

BENGALURU: The city traffic police have imposed traffic restrictions on major roads in the city on Sunday between 4 am and 11 am in view of the Bengaluru Marathon 2017. The marathon is scheduled to start from Sri Kanteerava Stadium and hence movement of vehicles will be restricted on Kasturba Road, Hudson Circle on to Siddalingaiah Circle, and Queen’s Circle (west side of the road), on Queen’s Road up to Central Telegraph Office, on Ambedkar Veedhi (east side), Raj Bhavan Road, M G Road (north side), Cubbon Road (south side) and on all roads inside Cubbon Park.

Vehicles moving from J C Road to Vidhana Soudha, Raj Bhavan and Shivajingar have to move from Police Corner- K.G. Road-Old Post Office Road via K.R. Circle and proceed on Dr. Ambedkar Road. Vehicles from Seshadri Road moving towards Shivajinagar should take a left at K R Circle and move on to Ambedkar Road and proceed towards Police Thimmaiah Circle.

Vehicles from J C Road and Nrupathunga Road moving towards M G Road and Marathalli should take right turn at Hudson Circle proceed on Devanga Road, reach Richmond Circle flyover and then on to Residency Road, Mayo Hall, Commissariat Road, Hosmat Hospital Road junction and proceed further ahead. Vehicles from Queen’s Road and Shivajinagar should go through Balekundri Circle and move on to Cunningham Road and Chandrika Junction and proceed towards LRDE Junction and reach Basaveshwara Circle.

Vehicles will not be allowed from Balekundri circle to Coffee Board during the event. Vehicles from Basaveshwara Circle can proceed on TMC Junction and move on Infantry Road or CTO and reach Manipal Centre. Vehicles coming from Balekundri Circle have to compulsorily take left turn at Traffic Headquarter junction and move on Infantry Road or take left turn at CTO Junction and move on Cubbon Road. Vehicles from Seshadri Road can move on Nrupathunga Road via K R Circle.

Two- and four-wheelers coming from Halasuru should move on M G Road and take a left turn at Mayo Hall/ Cauvery Emporium and reach D’Souza Circle or Brigade Road. Other vehicles take a left turn at Trinity Circle, move on Richmond Road-Hosmat Junction and through D’Souza Junction proceed further ahead.
