Jaipur: It is going to be a mix of folk dance, music and art at Momasar village of Bikaner as the seventh edition of two-day Shekhawati Utsav - Momasar-2017, will start from Monday. The festival is a celebration of the folk traditions of Rajasthan where over 200 artists from the state will converge to perform.

"The opening concert at Bhomiyaji Ka Mandir would be presented by Padma Shri Prahlad Tipaniya and his group. He has a soulful voice and mesmerises when he renders Nirgun Bhajan of Sant Kabir," said Vinod Joshi, director of the festival on Sunday.

This year, various events and performances would be held at four different venues. "Taal Maidan will continue to bring the best out of folk artistes where people in large numbers will witness their performances amid starry nights. On the second day, Rajasthani folk performances would take place at Survai farm," he added.

Various non-resident Rajasthanis will also gather at the function at their native village from countries like UK, Belgium and Canada.
