With Sakka Podu Podu Raja, it seems that fans have finally been introduced to Santhanam 2.0. The actor who made it to many blockbuster Tamil films with his brilliant comic timing, recently also donned the hero's hat. And Sakka Podu Podu Raja, by the trailer's look, is a Santhanam fest all the way.

The trailer of the comedy drama, produced by VTV Ganesh and directed by Sethuraman, is out and seems to be a promising laugh riot.
In the trailer, we see Santhanam in a sleek makeover — fighting the bad guy in high-octane action sequences, winning the love of his life (played by Vaibhavi Shandilya) and delivering punch lines. The trailer does not reveal much about the story but we are introduced to many layers of the film, which champions Santhanam as a mass hero.
What actually works for this movie, is that the actor doesn't fail to retain the comedian within him despite playing the lead role. He is still at his witty best — smart and (of course) funny — and at the same time portrays the role of a macho leading man unlike what he does in most of his other movies.
If you're thinking Santhanam, as usual, is the highlight of the film with his rib tickling jokes, then hold on. There might just be more. Both Vivek and VTV Ganesh are seen in pivotal roles, in the supporting cast, raising the humour quotient in Sakka Podu Podu Raja.
Also, something you definitely wouldn't miss in the initial seconds (of the trailer) is Simbu's (STR) peppy music. STR debuts as a composer with Sakka Podu Podu Raja and the film's music has already got the charts buzzing. Anirudh Ravichandran is reportedly also going to be a part of the much-hyped introduction song, shot with leading choreographers like Raju Sundaram and Sridhar among others.
