Airline makes emergency landing

Panaji: Oman Air flight WY 207 with 63 people onboard suffered an engine malfunction while enroute to Goa from Muscat on Saturday. The aircraft was given priority to land at Goa International Airport, Dabolim, airport officials said.
"The flight was a scheduled flight that had an engine problem in one of its engines and it made an emergency landing," Goa airport director B C H Negi said. The pilot informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) of the Goa International Airport about the engine malfunction and sought an emergency landing. The flight landed safely at 7.50pm, an airport official said.
The aircraft was towed to a parking bay and the passengers were allowed to disembark. tnn
