The Thalaivas lost their last match against Bengal Warriors on Friday evening while Patna Pirates will be on the hunt for a win after their defeat to the Gujarat Fortunegiants in their last clash. Ajay Thakur scored his fifth consecutive Super-10 in the match last night and has been in stellar form but hasn’t got much support from his defenders. The quartet of Amit Hooda, C Arun, Vineet Kumar and Darshan will have to pull up their socks, especially against the talismanic Pardeep Narwal. Pirates face a similar problem. Their defence hasn’t looked good in the tournament either but the heroics of their captain Pardeep Narwal and raider Monu Goyat, have kept them in a comfortable position this season. The defence, featuring the likes of Vishal Mane, Sachin Shingade, Jaideep and Jawahar Dagar, will have to put their best foot forward in light of the upcoming playoffs.
