Real estate broker’s murder was planned, accused nabbed

Nagpur: The main accused in murder of real estate broker, Rajesh Nandeshwar, and his accomplice were nabbed at Koradi Naka on Saturday afternoon while they were returning to city from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh. The duo, Sonu Shahu and Rajendra Yadav alias Kalu, would be produced before court on Sunday.

Nandeshwar was stabbed with a sword and his head smashed with a boulder near a pan kiosk run by Shahu at Kapil Nagar Chowk in Jaripatka on Friday afternoon in full public view. As per primary investigation, Shahu had planned Nandeshwar's murder as the latter was attempting to vacate a land encroached by the former, said sources in police.

Sources added that the duo had summoned the deceased near the pan kiosk and provoked him to enter a verbal duel. An annoyed Nandeshwar slapped Shahu twice before being stabbed by the duo, the sources said. cops.


Sources told Shahu claimed that the sword was lying at the murder spot and was spotted by him near a stone which he had tried to pick up to kill Nandeshwar.


Two police teams had been formed to nab the accused. One team, led by PSI Khedekar, carried out search operations in the city. Another team, led by PSI Sanjay Chappe, had gone to Chhindwara, as the last location of Shahu's contact number was traced there.


NPC Roshan Tiwari and other personnel laid a trap near Koradi Naka after receiving input that the duo had left on bike from Chhindwara. At Koradi Naka, cops intercepted the accused who had their faces covered. Cops chased them until their identity was confirmed and nabbed them.
