Mumbai: In yet another case of sexual assault and perverted mindset, a 26-year-old man raped his former girlfriend and then leaked her objectionable pics on social media without her consent. The said individual is on the run and this sexual assault also involved unnatural sex. The incident took place at Vile Parle.
According to an FIR, the man and the woman, who is in her 20s, had known each other since 2011. They were in a relationship and the man had proposed to marry her. On the pretext of marriage, he persuaded her to maintain sexual relationship even though she was unwilling, said an officer.
Last year, the woman called off the relationship and broke up with him, which in turn prompted him to send objectionable pictures of her to people she knew to further humiliate and embarrass her, reported Hindustan Times. The woman then very bravely registered a complaint in the last week of September. The police said it was not clear when he uploaded her photos.

The man has been booked for rape, unnatural sex and defamation charges. The police said a woman officer would lead the investigation to maintain the sensitivity of the case.
