Manchester City continued their surging run in the English Premier League with a 7-2 hammering of Stoke City at the Etihad Stadium. City led 3-0 inside the first half hour with goals from Gabirel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and David Silva. Mame Biram Diouf reduced the deficit at the stroke of half time. A Kyle Walker own goal reduced that gap even further early into the second half before City once again took control of the game. Gabriel Jesus added another before Fernandinho, Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva, too, joined the party. City now have scored 29 goals this season, 24 in the last five games and 17 in the last three home games.
