Ujjain: The Ujjain Engineering College (UEC) unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), has called off its indefinite strike, following an assurance given by the Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) vice-chancellor to continue a choice based credit system (CBCS).
UEC chief of ABVP, Saurabh Sisodia informed that they resorted to a gherao of RGPV, Bhopal on Thursday so that 125 students who could not write their exams, could get one more chance to appear in the CBCS. The VC accepted their demand and assured them of organising a special CBCS examination soon. Those present on the occasion included ABVP functionaries namely Ankit Garg, Pankaj Sahu, Shashank Jinwal, Dhirendra Singh Karoriya, Shivam Jaiswal, Rishi Kayasth, Himanshu Mallah and others.
