Actor lyricist-singer Arunraja Kamaraj shot to fame when he penned the lyrics and sang Neruppu Da in Rajinikanth’s Kabali directed by Pa Ranjith.

The song became a sensational hit and even ended up becoming the title of another film. With Rajini and Ranjith coming together once again for Kaala, Arunraja has been roped in to write a song for this film too.

Talking to CE, he says, “While I can reveal that I’ve written a song for Kaala, I can’t speak much about it at the moment. I’m not sure if it’s the introduction song or if I’ll sing it. Hopefully, there will be official confirmation soon.”

Meanwhile, Arunraja is also busy with the pre-production work for his directorial debut, a film on women’s cricket. “We’ve got a good response for our casting call. But I’m yet to invite people for auditions. Once the pre-production work is complete, we’ll zero in on the actors,” he adds.
