Hélène Abraham, Commercial Director for Marketing and Products at HOP! Air France and Frédéric Alory, Regional Director for Nouvelle Aquitaine for Air France-KLM presented today its 2017 Bordeaux results for HOP! Air France and the 2017-2018 winter programme for Bordeaux Airport.
Results from January to September 2017: continued growth!
With a stable offering from January to September 2017, traffic has grown by nearly 2% compared with the previous years with loading factors which are still growing, +1.5 point.
An exceptional Paris offering
HOP! Air France currently offers 20 daily flights to Paris from Bordeaux Airport, with 14 shuttle flights “La Navette” to Paris-Orly and 6 flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. This equates to a flight to Paris every 30 minutes and an offering of over 2 million seats for the summer season.
So far, the opening of the high-speed train line between Paris and Bordeaux on 2sd of July 2017 has only had a small impact on HOP! Air France traffic. The company’s seats offer remains stable with a slight drop in traffic of 1.5% overall from January to September 2017.
La Navette shuttle flights have always been a unique product in Europe and are the spearhead of HOP! Air France’s short haul activity, with 100 million passengers carried in 20 years and nearly 1,000 flights a week for its 5 destinations (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille, Nice and Montpellier).
ET HOP! À TABLE: the new dining service aboard La Navette!
Last May, HOP! Air France launched a new dining service called ET HOP! À TABLE aboard its La Navette flights in partnership with BOCO, a bistro restaurant chain proposing meals designed by master chefs.
Customers can order their meal up to 24 hours before flight departure, either directly at www.hop.com or www.airfrance.fr, as well as by telephone or in Air France agencies. Aboard the flight, it is served directly to their seat.
There is a total of 4 meals available throughout the day for all customers regardless of their ticket price category, with 3 savoury meals at €15 (Menu de la Mer, Menu du Potager and Menu de la Ferme) and 1 sweet meal at €8 (Menu Douceur).
Bordeaux Airport linked to all the hubs of Air France-KLM group
Nearly one in six customers flying from Bordeaux are on a connecting flight to Paris-Orly, with the main destinations being the French West Indies, Cayenne, La Réunion and New York.
In addition to operating flights to Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, HOP! Air France also flies to the hub in Lyon, offering multiple possibilities for connecting flights to destinations all over France and in Europe: 17% of customers on this route have connections from Lyon, mainly to Nice, Metz-Nancy-Lorraine and Strasbourg.
From Bordeaux, KLM operates also 3 daily feeder flights to Amsterdam, providing opportunities for connections to destinations across the world.
