AAP to gherao BJP MPs' residences against metro fare hike

The will gherao the residences of all seven MPs in protest against the metro fare hike, the party said today.

To start with, the party will gherao the residence of Union minister and Chandni Chowk MP Harsh Vardhan on October 14 and East MP Maheish Girri's the next day.


They will protest outside the residences of Northwest MP Udit Raj, South MP Ramesh Bidhuri, West MP Parvesh Varma, MP Meenakshi Lekhi and Northeast MP Manoj Tiwari between October 16 and 21.

Party volunteers, led by unit convenor and Labour Minister Gopal Rai today tried to gherao the Nirman Bhawan, which houses the Union Urban Development Ministry, against the fare hike.

The party had earlier alleged that the fare hike was done by the BJP-led Centre to benefit the app-based cab operators Ola and Uber.
