Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said he wants to hold the next National Youth Festival in here, if the state government accepts the proposal.
The Union Youth Affairs and Sports minister also said he has proposed to set up a shooting range for in Jaipur, which will be a centre of excellence for sportspersons.
"We have sent a proposal to the state government nearly a fortnight ago to provide 50 per cent fund for organising the National Youth Festival," Rathore told reporters here.
He said more than 5,000 youths from different parts of the country will take part in the festival.
"We are waiting for the Rajasthan government's response. The 10-day festival will be organised in January next year," Rathore said.
About setting up the shooting range, he said a proposal in this regard has been sent to the Rajasthan Sports Council.
