AIBEA calls for two-day all-India strike in IDBI Bank over wage revision

Strike to be held on October 24 and 25 with AIBEA calling upon all its unions to support the agitation by demonstrating in front of IDBI Bank branches

The All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA) has called for a two-day all-India at branches on October 24 and 25, demanding the implementation of wage revision, which is overdue. Two units of AIBEA, the All India IDBI Officers Association and All India IDBI Employees Association, are demanding immediate settlement of the wage revision issue.

The association alleges that the wage revision for employees and officers of the is due for the period from November 1, 2012, to October 31, 2017, on the lines of the settlement in all other In the case of other banks, the wage revision was settled in May 2015 with effect from November 2012. The negotiation for the next wage revision due from November 1, 2017, is also underway. However, the management of has been delaying the wage revision, alleged the association.

"Our units have shown utmost flexibility in order to resolve the settlement amicably but the management has been deliberately taking an untenable and unfair approach," said General Secretary C H Venkatachalam.
