Hyderabad girl ends life after posting Instagram note

HYDERABAD: After updating her social media status, a 20-year-old girl pursuing final year B Tech in ECE ended her life late on Wednesday night. She hanged herself to death from the ceiling of the washroom at her residence in Suraram Colony under Dundigal police station limitsBefore taking the extreme step, she shared on her instagram profile: “Every moment in my life is going so worst. I am just passing out through them..by learning lessons from everything happening in my bloody..life. I hope...i’ll quit this..soon” 

The deceased girl, K Sai Durga Mounika was a final year Electronics and Communication Engineering student at Narsimha Reddy Engineering College in the city.  On Wednesday, Mounika and her mother reportedly had a heated argument over her lack of focus on academics. She was upset after the exchange. Finding no way to other outlet for her grief, she shared the following messages on social media.

“Now a days, I am afraid to be happy. I don’t know why people want to look at me when I am happy in my life. Every moment in my life is going so worst. I am just passing out through them..by learning lessons from everything happening in my bloody..life. 

I hope i’ll quite this..soon,” she wrote on her Instagram profile.  She took her life at around 3 pm but her parents noticed the same only at 7.15 pm. They rushed her to a nearby private hospital where she was declared brought dead. They informed the police at around 9 pm.Dundigal inspector Shankaraiah said “The girl had an argument with her mother before the incident. She did not leave behind any note, but updated her status through an app.” A case of suspicious death was registered under section 174 CrPC and the body was handed over to parents after postmortem examination.
