One person has been arrested by CBCID police in connection with the murder of the Hindu Munnani functionary Sasikumar a year ago.
Sasikumar was murdered with sickles by a gang in two motorcycles on September 22 last year, when he was returning home, triggering communal flare up during his funeral the next day.
The main accused in the case Saddam Hussain was already arrested two months ago and search was on for his accomplice Mubarak, said to be the master mind behind the murder.
Subair was arrested last evening at Mullapadi Railway Gate near Pollachi, police said.
