The Allahabad High Court is expected to deliver its verdict on Thursday on an appeal filed by Rajesh and Nupur Talwar challenging a CBI court order convicting them for the murder of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj in 2008.
The couple were awarded life sentence by a special CBI court in Ghaziabad on November 26, 2013, a day after their conviction.

Sources suggest that the Talwars will walk out of Dasna jail by Thursday afternoon.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah has said that the police made a "total dog's breakfast" of the investigation in the Aarushi murder case.
Masooma Rizvi, a friend of the Talwars, says it is now up to the CBI to find out who killed Aarushi and Hemraj.
Tanveer Mir, a lawyer for the Talwars, says the evidence was not strong enough.
Sources are telling News-18 that the CBI is likely to appeal against the acquittal of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar.

* They can be held guilty only if the facts established is entirely consistent with the guilt

"The parents are anxious to know who killed Aarushi. Grateful to the High Court for upholding legal principles," says lawyer Pinaki Mishra.
"I am emotionally drained," says Nupur's father. "My daughter and son-in-law were jailed for a crime that they did not commit."

The couple was first convicted of murdering their daughter by a special CBI court in November 2013. CBI, which was tasked with investigating the case, had argued for capital punishment for the dentist couple arguing the murder to be in ‘the rarest of rare’ category. However the court had sentenced Nupur and Rajesh Talwar to life.
A lawyer for the Talwars says he expected the acquittal as the evidence against the couple did not hold water. Says he hopes his clients will be released by tomorrow.
"Once a certified copy of the verdict arrives, the Talwars will be released within half an hour," the Dasna Jail Superintendent says.
The Talwars will only be released when the Ghaziabad jail gets a copy of the High Court's order, will could take till Friday.
CBI REACTION
The CBI says it is waiting for the copy of the judgement and will decide their next course of action after studying it.
The jailor at Dasna tells News-18 that the Talwars said they felt that justice had been served after the verdict was read out.
The full order of the judgement is not available yet, so there is no clarity on whether another probe has been ordered.
A reminder that Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were not in the courtroom when the verdict was announced. They were watching the proceedings from Dasna jail, where they have been lodged since being convicted in November 2013.
CASE NOT CLOSED
The Talwars will walk out of the Dasna jail soon, nearly four years after being given life terms. However, the CBI is expected to challenge today's acquittal in the Supreme Court.
