Indian opening batsman Murali Vijay and his wife Nikita became proud parents to a baby girl on Monday as the cricketer took to social media site Twitter to share the good news.

Murali Vijay, who always holds a strong position in India's Test team, has never really managed to fit into the ODI side. Murali Vijay was last seen playing in the Test series between India and Australia.
Due to injuries, Murali Vijay missed the Indian Premier League 2017 season as well as the India Sri Lanka Test series.
