Charred body of youth found near Sulur

Coimbatore: An 18-year-old youth's charred body was found in an isolated place near Sulur on Thursday. Police said the youth might have been murdered.
The deceased was identified as S Arulraj, 18, of Senrampalayam near Kinathukadvu here. He was working under P Ayyasamy, 43, of Therkkupalayam near Kalangal village in Sulur. He used to take cattle for grazing every day from Kalangal village to nearby areas.
Another person D Maruthupandian, 22, of Pillaiyar Thottakulam in Aruppukkottai in Virudhunagar district, was also working in the same place. Arulraj has been missing from Wednesday morning. Ayyasamy searched him in many places in Kalangal and could not trace him. Meanwhile, Arulraj's charred body was found near Sulur .
When alerted, the Sulur police reached the spot and sent the body to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem
Kangeyampalayam village administrative officer S Lavanya also visited the spot and lodged a police complaint.
The police have also registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC (suspicious death).
A team of police has rushed to Virudhunagar district to detain Maruthupandian for inquiry.
