Mumbai: The Malwani police have arrested a 39-year-old man for kidnapping two minor boys from Malad. The accused was infatuated by the mother of the two children and wanted to have a relationship with her. The incident occurred on October 7. Imran Ejaz Shaikh (39) has been arrested for kidnapping (Section 363) of the Indian Penal Code.
The minors aged five and seven years were kidnapped from their residence at Malwani. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered at Malwani police station. Later, the case was transferred to the crime branch unit 11. Based on a tip off, a team was dispatched to Bazarpeth at Kalyan. Shaikh was arrested from a lodge at Bazarpeth on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, “Imran Ejaz Shaikh was infatuated by the mother of the two minor boys. He had kidnapped the boys since he thought that he could force the lady to be in a relationship with him.”
