Chinese team to visit western Nepal to study agro sector

A team of reseachers from will visit western Nepal's Gulmi to undertake feasibility study on modernisation and development of agriculture sector in the rural area of the district.

The team, from the Research Development Centre, will also carry out a study of organic agriculture system and look for possiblilities of collaboration between the countries in the sector.


"The team would carry out feasibility study of Paudi area in Musikot Municipality (of the district) in mid-October aimed at modernisation and development of agriculture in rural area of Nepal," said Dinanath Poudyal, secretary at Bharmachaur Model Integrated Agro Firm.

"There will also be a programme to demonstrate agriculture produce and award the best agro producer based on their products," he added.

Poudyal said that the Chinese team, comprising eight specialists, would carry out feasibility study of organic agriculture system and see possible Nepal-collaboration in agro sector.
