Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Wednesday in Mumbai. The celebrations, attended by only family members and close friends, were held at the couple’s Pali Hill residence, which was finally handed over to them a couple of months ago.

Taking to Twitter, Dilip thanked God Almighty for his beautiful relationship with Saira and wrote, “Thank you Almighty God for making our journey beautiful with joy & peace.” On the other hand, he also shared some messages from wife Saira for his fans. Saira wanted to thank the millions of followers, through the official Twitter account of Dilip for their constant support and best wishes. He wrote, “Message from Saira Banu; On our 51st Anniversary we want to thank our friends n families n millions of fans for their prayers & love 1/” and “2/ Saab enjoyed at his 48 Pali Hill residence. Dilip Kumar, 94, married his co-star Saira Banu, 73, in 1966. They have starred in films such as Gopi, Sagina and Bairaag together. Only last month, Dilip was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital health after he suffered from dehydration and urinary tract infection. Even though he got discharged a week later, Bollywood was pretty shaken regarding the actor’s ill-health. Even Dilip Kumar’s ‘mooh bola beta’ Shah Rukh Khan made sure to pay him a visit after he was discharged. Quantico actor Priyanka Chopra had also visited him at home.
