Lions Club of Nagpur Nobel organizes cyclothon

Nagpur: Cycling is one of the best remedies for health issues. To emphasize its importance, the Lions club organized a cycle rally on Sunday, October 8, at 5 in the morning. Nearly 300 nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts participated in the event.


Chief guest and MLA Krushna Khopde, zone chairperson Rajesh Jaysingh Bhosale and PRO Rajesh Jindal gave the green signal for the rally to begin. The rally passed from Wardhaman Nagar's Vaishnavdevi chowk, Central Avenue, Civil Lines, to Futala lake. There, mayor Nanda Jichkar, Raje Mudhoji Bhosale and Mulchand Mohta were present to show their support and encouragement. During the entire route, the participants, donning green and white T-shirts, were spreading awareness about cancer, diabetes, and other illnesses as well as traffic rules.


President of the club Dr Kiran Mohta, project director Rupesh Mohta, Rahul Suradkar, Prasanna Shrivastav and other members were leading the rally in an open jeep. They together chanted 'Bharat mata ki jay' and 'India nahi, Bharat kaho'.
