Gadchiroli cop tops in 50m rifle shooting

Nagpur: Head constable Sanjay Hazare, posted in Gadchiroli district, has bagged the top position in 50m rifle event at the 18th Maharashtra police shooting competition held at Daund in Pune district earlier in the month.
The rifle, pistol, carbine and revolver competition was organized at State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) group Five.
Hazare, who is attached to Gadchiroli police's Jungle Training and Survival Centre (JTSC), won gold in the 50m kneeling position with MP-5 submachine-gun, which is basically a German-designed firearm. SRPF commandant presented the medal to Hazare.
Apart from SP, Gadchiroli, Abhinav Deshmukh, Hazare has been felicitated by his unit where he trains newly-posted personnel in guerrilla warfare tactics, techniques to survive in forests and counter Naxalites.
Senior officers of the district too have congratulated Hazare.
