Arvind Kejriwal’s Maruti Suzuki Wagon R stolen! Here’s what made the blue car a symbolic AAPmobile

Delhi Chief Minister had been out of headlines for quite some time, now that the media is littered with the man's name, the reason isn't anything to do with politics. His fabled blue Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has been stolen! This particular car has been quite popular since several other AAP leaders had been seen with more expensive and luxurious cars. The Wagon R was what maintained Kejriwal's 'Aam Aadmi' image since he always projected himself as being all for the rights of the common man. Now with the Wagon R gone, social media has exploded in snickers with some saying stuff like "Arvind Kejriwal’s car has been stolen. Sadly, they are unable to trace the car because Kejriwalji failed to install CCTV cameras in Delhi."

The car was allegedly stolen from outside the Delhi Secretariat. It was presently being used by Aam Aadmi Party's media coordinator Vandana Singh, who has filed a police complaint at the IP Estate police station about the theft that reportedly happened at about 1 pm.

The WagonR has been a very popular offering by Maruti Suzuki and still continues to be amongst the best-selling cars in the country. A Wagon R is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Besides the petrol variants, it also available in CNG and LPG versions.

A little trinket of information which many do not know is that the blue Wagon R was donated to the Delhi CM by Kundan Sharma and his wife Shraddha Sharma, who were based in the UK and were AAP supporters. They also requested it back in 2015.

So, what made the Wagon R a good choice for a 'common man'? It may be the fact that the Wagon R is inexpensive to buy and to maintain. It has a small city car ease with utilitarian advantages. It suits for a common man image since the Wagon R was never a style icon. It has a simple boxy design, good space and headroom, and a high seating position that gives it easy maneuverability through city traffic.
