Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's iconic blue Wagon R was on Thursday stolen from right outside Delhi Secretariat in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Popularly known as the 'AAP Mobile', it is the same car Kejriwal camped and slept in, during his protest against Delhi police in 2014. The chief minister was also photographed sleeping next to the car during the protest.
Kejriwal had also refused to use the official state car in favour of his blue Wagon R upon becoming the Chief Minister for the first time in 2013. He had used it to demonstrate his party's commitment to fight VIP culture in Delhi. Kejriwal had also used the car during the 2013 election campaign.
"The car was parked outside the Delhi Secretariat. It went missing around 1 am," a senior police official said.
The car was donated to Kejriwal by Kundan Sharma, a software engineer, in January 2013.
