The Assam Police has arrested two persons in connection with the stone-pelting incident that took place on Tuesday night where the Australian cricket team's bus was attacked after the second T20I match in Guwahati. According to a report on The Indian Express, the two youth are in police custody.

The attack took place while the bus was ferrying team members back to their hotel from the stadium after the match, which the visitors won by eight wickets.
Australian opening batsman Aaron Finch sent a tweet late on Tuesday night, saying a rock was hurled at the team bus while they were on their way back to the hotel. He called it "pretty scary". Although none of Finch's teammates mentioned anything about the incident, Glenn Maxwell and captain David Warner retweeted Finch's original post.
Later in the night, a report also appeared on Cricket Australia's official website that confirmed there were no injuries because nobody was sitting on the seat next to the window which was attacked. It mentioned the rock was the size of a cricket ball.
However, it raised serious question marks about the Assam Cricket Association and the state police's security arrangements for the match at the newly constructed stadium in Barsapara, especially considering Guwahati was hosting an international cricket match for the first time in seven years.
"We made every attempt to ensure a foolproof security but don't know how this happened. It was near the team hotel and not at the crowded street near the stadium. The police have already arrested two persons and are investigating into the matter. I can assure that such incident won't occur in future again. There will be a thick security cover when the Australian team leaves for Hyderabad," Assam Cricket Association secretary Pradip Buragohain was quoted as saying in The Indian Express report.
