WB TET 2018 eligibility criteria changed for Teacher Eligibility Test, official notification released at wbbpe.org; 30,000 posts available

West Bengal Central School Service Commission has started the application process for West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) at wbbpe.org.

WB TET 2018 eligibility criteria: West Bengal Central School Service Commission has started the application process for West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) at wbbpe.org or wbsed.gov.in. Candidates who are interested can apply by visiting the official websites. WB TET 2018 will be conducted for about 30,000 posts in the state. Candidates must have secured the minimum academic qualification before the date of notification ie October 9, 2017.

Here are the minimum eligibility conditions for West Bengal TET (primary) 2017:

Higher secondary/senior secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and two-year diploma in elementary education
or
Higher secondary/senior secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and four-year bachelor of elementary education
or
Higher secondary/senior secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and a diploma in education (special education) recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
or
Graduation and two-year diploma in elementary education

From this academic year onwards WB TET will be conducted as per National Council for Teachers’ Education (NCTE) guidelines. WB TET comprises of 150 multiple choice questions which candidates need to attempt in 90 minutes duration. WBTET comprises of two papers. Paper-I is to be given by candidates who want to teach Classes I-V and Paper II is for upper primary teachers, as per shiksha.com.

Earlier, the results of Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test 2017 has been announced at mahatet.in. The examination was conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) on 22 July 2017. Candidates who have appeared for the examination can now visit the official website to check their results. Nearly 1,58,250 lakh candidates have appeared in the exam this year, according to India Today.
