Three arrested under NDPS Act in city

The Chandigarh police on Wednesday registered three cases of illicit drug recovery reported from different areas of the city. According to the police spokesperson, a Patiala resident was arrested near Community Center, Sector-49, Chandigarh and 10 gram heroin was recovered from his possession. A FIR has been registered in PS-49 in Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress, according to the spokesperson.

In another case, local Police arrested a Chandigarh resident near Sector 61/52 light point on Tuesday and recovered 10 injections of Buperenorphine from his possession. “An FIR been registered in PS-36 and probe is on,” the spokesperson said. According the spokesperson, a Sector 56 resident was also arrested near a school in Sector 38 and 11 injections of Buperenorphine and 11 injections of phiniramine were recovered from his possession.
