Woman booked for adding sedatives to husband’s food
tnn | Oct 12, 2017, 04:00 ISTBhavnagar: A woman has been arrested for attempting to kill her husband by making him consume sedatives in Juni Devadi village of Talaja taluka in Bhavnagar district.
According to police, Manjula had been putting sedatives in her husband's tea and food for the past five days. On Tuesday, 52-year-old Himmat Dhandhala's health deteriorated and he had to be hospitalized.
"At the hospital, doctors diagnosed that he had fallen unconscious as he had been taking sedatives. It was then that Dhandhala realized what his wife had done to him. He lodged a complaint against Manjula and alleged that she suspected him of having an illicit relationship with other woman. Therefore, she had resorted to such an act," said an official from Talaja taluka police station. tnn
