Three MNS activists have been arrested for assaulting migrant workers in Sangli district. MNS goons thrashed youths from UP and Bihar, demanding preference be given to local Marathi youths for jobs in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), which is located in the Kupwad industrial area.

Meanwhile, outraged JDU and BJP are demanding that the strictest possible action be taken against MNS chief Raj Thackeray.

Speaking to India Today, senior JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar asserted that hooliganism by such goons could not be tolerated at all and demanded that the Maharashtra government deal strictly with Raj Thackeray.
