NOIDA: For the second time this month, Noida Authority CEO Alok Tandon took stock of the sanitary conditions in the city on Wednesday.
Tandon inspected several sectors of the city and directed officials to enhance manpower and machinery for cleaner environs.
The CEO's visit lasted two and a half hours, during which he interacted with residents as well as members of residents welfare associations (RWAs).
Tandon had on October 1 visited a handful of sectors to understand the problems being faced by residents regarding sanitation. "The CEO had then noted the lack of vehicles required for garbage disposal," said Noida Authority additional CEO (ACEO) RK Mishra.
"On Wednesday, the CEO inspected sectors 19, 28, 29 and 37. He also conducted a detailed inspection of the three drains flowing through the city — the Shahdara drain, the irrigation drain and the drain flowing near Sector 37. He has directed the sanitation department to ensure there is no waterlogging or encroachment in the drains," the ACEO said.
Authority officials said Tandon will be inspecting sanitation conditions in the city at least once a week.
