tnn | Oct 12, 2017, 04:00 ISTRajkot: An advocate fired on a businessman, injuring him in his stomach and hand near Limda Chowk in Rajkot on Tuesday night. According to police, advocate Pradeep Renuka, who has his office in Everest Building, called up Pankaj Sheth (46), who trades in silver, at his office and opened fire at him. Sheth was injured in his hand and stomach. He was rushed to Rajkot Civil Hospital where his condition is said to be normal.
"We are yet to register a case in this regard as Sheth is yet to lodge a police complaint in this connection. However, our preliminary investigation has revealed that both Renuka and Sheth were friends and that Renuka had been pestering Sheth to lend him money which Sheth refused. Sheth visits Renuka's office quite often and on Tuesday night he was there at his office on a usual visit, when an altercation erupted between the two, following which Renuka pulled out his revolver and opened fire at Sheth," said an official from the A-Division police station.
