Yuvraj Singh played a bit of football and a bit of netball at the Cooperage football ground on Wednesday with trainees of NGOs Slum Soccer and Naz Foundation, soon Mercedes-Benz and Laureus Sport For Good named him as their first brand ambassador in India. The global auto manufacturer and an institution that takes pride in sports movement said that they have appointed the Indian cricketer to “to bring the change and uplift the society through the power of sports.”
Extending its support for the Laureus Sport for Good programme for the second year, the German’s car maker said that it will fund activities of two new NGOs (Naz Foundation and Slum Soccer) and continue to support Oscar Foundation and YUWA.
