There is no doubt that Amitabh Bachchan in India’s biggest superstar. As Big B turns a year older today, the Bachchan family is off to Maldives for a private family vacation. Not just Abhishek, Aishwarya and Jaya, but granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and her mother Shweta Nanda also accompanied the family at the beach destination. Not to miss, little princess Aaradhya is also part of her granddaddy’s birthday celebrations.

While the Bachchan party left for Maldives on Tuesday morning, they were spotted by shutterbugs at the Mumbai airport. And as reported by Mid-day, Abhishek, Shweta and Aishwarya had something special planned for Bachchan this time too. From a mid-night bash to a yacht party, looks like the celebratory mood has taken over the Bachchan clan. Staying at the same luxury resort which they chose for Abhishek’s birthday last year as well, looks like the Bachchan family has a favourite resort.

A source tells Mid-day, “The three had meticulously planned every detail. They rang in the birthday at their private beach with crackers and a huge cake.” Meanwhile, for the next four days Amitabh’s mantra is simple, he is there to enjoy some private family time. “They plan to indulge in a variety of water sports from jet skiing to sailing. A yacht party is also on the cards,” further added the source.

And it looks like, the only person missing from the revelry is Bachchan’s teenage grandson Agastya. Studying at Sevenoaks School in London, 16-year-old Agastya was busy with his college semesters and could not take part in this family holiday.
