Submit road repair plan in 15 days, Mayfield developer told

Gurgaon: There's good news for Mayfield Garden residents as they can finally hope to get relief from bad internal roads, following the allottees grievance redressal forum (AGRF) order, issued on Wednesday, directing the developer to prepare an estimate for construction and repair of roads within 15 days. The forum has also asked the developer to open an escrow account — a joint account between the developer and residents — for completing the construction work.
Mayfield Garden was launched as a plotted colony in 1994. In 2012, the developer abandoned the project without completing the infrastructure work like roads, water supply and electricity particularly in the N block of the society.
Residents claimed that since 2011 they have complaining against the developer at different forums, who in turn have been issuing orders which the developer has ignored. Finally the residents approached the AGRF in October.
RWA president Dharam Singh Yadav alleged, "The developer has not completed the development work in the colony as per the approved layout plan and service estimates."
District town planner (DTP) RS Batth said the forum took the developer to task as they have been receiving several complaints from residents, particularly those who reside in N-Block. "The developer was pulled up for not adhering to the orders of government agencies issued from time to time and directed them to submit details of infrastructure facilities developed by them till now and list the works that are pending within 15 days," said Batth.
A representative of Sheetal International, developer of Mayfield Garden, claim that they have put in place all the amenities. "Residents are not paying the maintenance charges and hence the facilities are not being maintained," the representative said.
