[India], October 11 (ANI): The Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Wednesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the political violence in Kerala, saying "spreading terror and sharpening communal polarization" was the inherent character of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

"Nothing could be more absurd than these allegations and that the philosophy of conducting politics through violence, spreading terror and sharpening communal polarisation is the inherent character of the RSS," CPM leader Sitaram Yechury told ANI.

Yechury also said that the BJP were the initiators of violence in Kerala while CPM was only the victim.

Meanwhile, speaking about the economy, Yechury said that the government has been "successful" in ruining the economy, rapidly in three years.

"All the promises BJP made to the people have been betrayed by them," Yechury said.

Meanwhile, the saffron party continued with its 15-day 'Janaraksha Yatra' to protest the killing of its party workers allegedly by the CPI-M.

The march is a show of strength by the BJP and the RSS and will pass through 11 of the 14 districts in Kerala and end in capital Thiruvananthapuram on October 17.(ANI)
