NEW DELHI: Shares of Reliance Industries (Rs 209.44 crore), Avenue Supermarts (Rs 152.99 crore) and Coal India (Rs 126.67 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in Wednesday's trade.

Most Active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with the highest trading turnover during the day.

Maruti Suzuki (Rs 116.09 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 83.00 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 76.27 crore), Infosys (Rs 72.02 crore), GAIL (Rs 56.16 crore) and Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 52.85 crore) were also in the league.

Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty registered a positive start, with Sensex rising over 150 points and Nifty crossing 10,060-level.

At 10.20 am (IST), the Nifty50 index was 48 points up at 10,065, while BSE Sensex was 167 points up at 32,091.

Among the gainers in the Nifty pack, Bharti Airtel led, with gains of over 4 per cent.

It was followed by Bharti Infratel (up 2.55 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 2.32 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.61 per cent), Indian Oil Corp (up 1.47 per cent) and Reliance Industries (up 1.41 per cent).

On the other hand, Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 1.78 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.60 per cent), Dr Reddy's Labs (down 0.60 per cent) and Tata Motors (down 0.59 per cent) were among the top losers.

Jash Engineering, Reliable Data Services, RKEC Projects, G M Breweries, Bhandari Hosiery, Financial Tech, Prabhat Dairy, Sterlite Tech, Dynemic Product, Samtel Color, PSP Projects and Maithan Alloys were the stocks that touched their fresh 52-week highs.

KSS, TCI Developers, Sri Adhikari, TV Vision, SAB Events & Governance Now Media, Bhagyanagar Properties, TCI Finance, Amara Raja Batt, Goldstar Power, Sujana Universal, IOL Chemicals and JMT Auto hit their new 52-week lows levels on NSE in Wednesday's trade.
