MALKANGIRI:With rain water flowing at five feet high over the low lying  bridge at Kangrukonda, vehicular traffic on Malkangiri-Motu road was thrown out of gear on Tuesday.

Sources said communication along Malkangiri-Kalimela-Motu route was disrupted for more than eight hours on the day. A flood-like situation has arisen after incessant rain on Monday night at the upper end.
Hundreds of vehicles and commuters were seen stranded on both sides of the bridge at Kangrukonda as the road was completely submerged. However, communication to Motu was restored when water started receding at 4 pm.The situation is normal in rest of the places across the district.
