Mumbai: Zubair Khan, a participant in reality television show Bigg Boss, filed a complaint against actor Salman Khan on Monday alleging the latter had used abusive language during an altercation last week.
The complaint is the latest development in the controversy surrounding Zubair, who entered the show claiming to be the son-in-law of Haseena Parkar, sister of global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. Earlier, Sameer Antulay, Ms. Parkar’s nephew, had filed a complaint at Khalapur police station alleging Zubair was not related to the family.
He was evicted from Bigg Boss house last week and an episode aired on Saturday showed Salman losing his temper with him for his inappropriate comments when women were around. “Kasam khuda ki tujhe kutta nahi banaaya toh mera naam Salman Khan nahi (I swear I will change my name if I don’t turn you into a dog),” Salman says in the episode.
Following his eviction, Zubair first approached Antop Hill police station with a complaint against the actor. “We informed him that the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Pune police,” DCP Deepak Deoraj, spokesperson, Mumbai Police, said. On Monday, Zubair approached Lonavala City police station. “We recorded his statement and registered a Non Cognisable complaint against Salman Khan and the channel, who were booked for criminal intimidation under the IPC,” an officer said.
An official release from the Lonavala City police confirmed that the complaint was registered on Monday and the abusive comments made by Salman.
