Volkswagen launches new Passat with prices starting Rs 29.99 Lakh

NEW DELHI: European car maker Volkswagen on Tuesday launched the new Passat with prices starting Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Passat will contend with the likes of Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Skoda Superb. The Passat is based on the new MQB platform and comes strapped with a 2 L TDI Diesel engine.

Steffen Knapp, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India, said, "We are extremely pleased to launch the technologically advanced New Passat in India offering our customers a carline that is equipped with superior safety features...With the launch of the Passat we will now have a portfolio with remarkable carlines across leading vehicle segments in the country."
