BENGALURU: In a suspected case of a financial dispute gone awry, a gang of 21 men was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly kidnapping three small businessmen, among which, one was found murdered. The arrested people include one Zunaid Ahmed, who is a businessman.

The deceased has been identified as Noor Ahmed (28), a resident of J C Nagar. The other two — Saddam and Saleem alias Kaliyaas of Chamarajpet — were seriously injured.

A senior police officer said that at around 1.30 am, the trio was walking in front of V-Care Hospital on Devegowda road. A gang, who came in three Scorpio cars, forced them into the vehicles and fled the scene. A passer-by who noticed the incident alerted police control room, and R T Nagar and J C Nagar police were informed.

A team of the R T Nagar police launched a manhunt and headed towards Gouribidanuru where they suspected the Scorpio cars to have headed. Based on a tip-off, Gouribidanur police raided a farmhouse in the early hours of Tuesday morning and found Noor lying in a pool of blood while two others were also stabbed. They were rushed to nearby hospital. RT Nagar arrested everyone including one Zunaid Ahmed,  a businessman.
