Noida: A team of Jaipur police raided a fake call centre and detained nine people for allegedly duping a resident of Jaipur on the pretext of giving them bonus on their insurance policies and for installation of mobile towers.

The call centre was located on the first loor of the building A-23 in Sector 2.

The team has detained nine persons on the basis of an FIR lodged in Nahargarh in Jaipur.

According to officers of the crime branch of Jaipur police, the investigation was going on for the past one year and it was later revealed that the alleged cheats were duping others as well.

"The employees would make phone calls to customers of different insurance companies and claim to help them get bonus on these policies. Once their target is trapped, they would call the same person from different numbers and try to dupe him or her on various pretexts including the claim to installing a mobile tower in their premises," an officer of the Jaipur police's crime branch said.

He said that the police team has detained nine persons who will be arrested after their interrogation.
