In a tragic incident three of a family died in a road accident and one suffered severe injuries when the bike on which they were travelling was hit by a speeding bus on NH-16 stretch near Yellamanchili in the district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as D Raju (35), his wife D Kumari (30), and younger daughter D Puspa (7). Raju’s elder daughter D Sravani, suffered severe injuries, and is battling for life in a hospital. As per the reports Raju along with his family went to Kokirapalle on bike from his home town Yellamanchili to join his elder daughter Sravani in a residential school on Monday.
The management of the school asked them to visit on Tuesday. Raju along with his family was returning to their house on the bike, when a speeding bus hit the vehicle from the behind at high speed. Three of them died on the spot. Inspector of Yellamanchili K. Vidyanath registered a case.
