Heavy rains lashed Hyderabad tonight leading to water logging and massive traffic jams at several places in the city. Ramachandrauram received 83.3 mm, followed by Madhapur, one of the places where several IT companies are located, at 67 mm, according to the Met office. The heavy rain led to almost knee-deep waterlogging on some of the busy areas like Madhapur and Shaikpet. With roads inundated by water, traffic moved at a snail’s pace and motorists faced tough time in finding their way.
Heavy rains had lashed Hyderabad about a week ago. The Met department had predicted that the ongoing spell of rains would continue for another few days.
