Ujjain: Students of Ujjain Engineering College (UEC) boycotted their classes on Monday, on the call of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), to draw attention of authorities towards their various demands, including re-enforcement of choice based credit system (CBCS).

Led by ABVP’s UEC unit president, Shashank Jeenwal, dozens of students boycotted their classes, shouting slogans. They also submitted a memorandum to the principal, Dr Umesh Pendharkar and demanded him to pay heed to their demands at once.

The 10-point charter of demands included re-enforcement of CBCS, availability of books, computers, wi-fi facility, water coolers, etc, ensuring proper sanitation arrangements, construction of a boundary wall and maintenance of college and hostel buildings.
